(Nigeria) When a bomb causes the death of his mother, Abdallah finds himself swept away from Kano into the life of his uncle, an Ibadan-based motorbike rider and armed robber. Things start off well and he is able to take care of his siblings back home, his mother’s dying charge. Wow! This is heavy, the story is captivating and leaves much to wonder. it kept me on the edge of my seat. I still DON’T KNOW WHY bABA iJEABU DIDN’T DO ANYTHING YET THE BOY WAS HIS TENANT. hUMANITY IS KILLED WITH SUCH LITTLE THINGS.
Film Master
Sadly true, dear Mercy. Something dies in us when we do not embrace a common humanity. We must continue to engage, to #stayengaged.

Honestly I am very impressed with this short film on every aspects. The story is very relatable because such issues have happened a number of times across the country. The story telling of perfect, the sequence of occurrence kept me engaged. The cinematography is rated a 10 out of 10. Infact I reduced my video resolution quality to 360 and it was still clear, impressive.
I would have preffered the term “American or European, or foreigner” against the term “white man” which was used by the storyteller at the beginning of the film.
My honest opinion, Thanks.

Film Master
Thank you so much for this very thorough and very kind feedback! The “original” resolution was 4K, of which we uploaded 1080 version to safeguard the resolution and preserve bandwidth especially for mobile phones. Glad that this was noted, and useful. As for the rest, we cannot thank you enough. The original short story author, the scriptwriter, and the team will keep these subtle issues in mind. Much appreciated, Abidemi a.

I noticed a mistake. The thugs who set the maibarrow on fire were speaking english with a hausa accent, someone among them added βmanaβ, but this was not meant to be right? The maibarrow was a hausa man killed by yoruba thugs not his tribesmen.
Film Master
This is a very good catch, Aisha. Your analysis is correct. We appreciate this close watching of Hate… even as we continue to learn and make even better films.
